Bestfriends OUT

The elements of what a best friend is today no longer exists. Feeling like you should be the first to know everything or be there for every special event would be one of the most important things, right? WRONG! I guess the rules of sisterhood or whatever they call, close bonding, has lost its purpose. After growing up together in high school and sharing all hopes, dreams, goals, and certain preferences, it seems like nothing could ever seperate the friendship that was gained. However, going to different universities and adopting the new life with new friends is the obstacle that splits two friends into strangers. I definitely did not see this coming! Now that I found out that she is engaged to a guy, who treats her badly, and doesn't invite me (HER BESTFRIEND IN THIS PROVINCE) to her engagement party, should I feel out of place or what? I never thought I could feel this way towards someone so dear to me. I haven't felt so lost, so sad. It hurts thinking that one of the most joyious days that you would share with your best girlfriend isn't as splendid as I imagined.

Life is wierd. The paths we are led on have curves and obstacles that we don't expect. To be happy, or to selfishly grudge? Even if my situation isn't as pleasant, I should still be a bestfriend and support her. I just don't see how it's going to be possible.

Ugh, don't get me started on bestfriends right now.

That is actually horrible that she didn't invite you to her engagement party.

I can't imagine how you would be able to support her properly and genuinely if she doesn't even bother to include you in her life anymore.

I hope things work out well between you two.
