In this day and time or era, mostly every person is either trying to fit in with the latest trends or finding their own groove with style. Although that maybe a fantasy for some, why not go the other way and be the total opposite of yourself. This maybe odd and poser-ish, however it is interesting to see how people react to a sudden change.
On a daily basis I tend to dress my best and make sure I look perfect and fashion forward. That would include: fitted clothes, flawless eye catching makeup, and the latest hair styles. The attention I got was positive, yet my everyday look made me appear as stuck up, snobby, intimidating and unapproachable. Then as I slowly altered my appearance by being sloppy in my attire and having a natural face, the reactions i got were completely the opposite. Isuddenly became friendly, timid looking and approachable. For a while it was fun to take on the new persona my new look gave me. Though I might be the new nerd in my group, it's so enlightening to see how appearance matters so much these days.
From what i know, it's always fun being someone your not for a while, just as long as you don't forget yourself in the process. Other than that it's like stepping into someone else's shoes and it does reveal a few answers on why we act towards each other.

This is so true, I had really long blond hair growing up and one day i decided to chop it all off and dye it black. It was funny to see how differently people perceive you when you alter your appearance like that.
